I don’t have a set “getting ready” place in my room. Sometimes I use the mirror above my dresser, some days I use the bathroom sink counter, on lazy days, I take the mirror hung above dresser and sit cross legged on the floor. I am in constant search for the best lighting. On days I want an extra few minutes of sleep I take my large carry on of makeup to work, getting ready while my first client of the day processes (its a perk of working at a salon). On this early summer morning standing in front of my dresser mirror, I decided the natural light coming in from my window was all I needed. Moisturizer, face primer, contour, and next foundation..... Man this stuff is glittery?!?? I never noticed it was so glittery... maybe my make up sponge is just full of glitter... Exam makeup sponge...not really sure it’s the sponge, not really sure it’s not.... proceed...ask my half blind street husband.... Rio - ya it’s pretty shiny 🤷🏼‍♂️.... Me- it’s pretty shiny? Or it’s pretty! Shiny! Stir my “foundation” with the end of makeup brush.... nope it’s not my make up sponge it’s glittery through and through.... never noticed. Been wearing this brand and shade for months now... whatever .... put lid back on foundation.... This lid is black?!?! This is not my foundation... This is the new stuff KK just gave me! I just put a face full of “gold splurge glitter” cream shadow on my WHOLE ENTIRE FACE!!! For the love of clogged pours!! Wash face.... Exfoliate! Skin now scrubbed and raw with redness. I need a makeup remover wipe stat! Does glitter ever really go away ?!?! That’s a good as it’s gonna get. Deep breath... My face kinda stings... Proceed... Moisturizer, face primer, contour, and foundation (reading the label on the lid twice before application) I love to shine don’t get me wrong, but I’m more of a little “highlight” or “glow” kinda gal. Not a full face “gold splurge glitter” sparkling so bright had I drove to work without noticing I’m sure there would have been a collision with on coming traffic as they would have been blinded by its overwhelming shine and glare! Note to self - Read labels and turn on the damn light!
